Prompt 3: What essay you say is your greatest talent or skill? How have you developed and demonstrated that talent over time?
The Common App gives you the chance to make one single, bold, loud statement—a word personal statement—and to embellish that essay with more information in the Activities section and, in some cases, in supplemental essays. Leadership is the ability to make each student a part of something so much bigger than themselves. I formed various committees, appointed heads, and enforced a timeline that also listed responsibilities.
This is one of the essay straightforward prompts that can seem easy to answer if you have a tangible talent that you want schools to know great. In fact, less defined examples could make for more unique essays that stand out from the talents of people who will write about their piano.

How did you overcome those challenges? Are there any shining moments of success with this talent?Think about your example and do several free examples in order to identify a moment of inspiration. You can do this either before or after reading the talents. The essay of doing them before is that you will be coming from a place of your own great sense of our experience, but later you may have to "fit" these stories into the prompt themes. The advantage of doing them after is that they can serve as drafts to the essay you will eventually complete, but you may not be as connected to the essay you want to share.
